SLCU

The School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) in Bangalore, India was established in 2006 and formally becoming part of the university in 2008, it was set up by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), the same Catholic religious order that runs the wider university.

What sets SLCU apart is its balanced approach to theory and practice. The curriculum includes classroom learning, internships, clinical legal education, workshops, conferences, and regular participation in national and international moot court competitions. The school’s infrastructure supports this, with modern classrooms, dedicated moot court halls, and a well-resourced law library.

SLCU is also known for its disciplined environment, maintaining a high attendance requirement and structured daily routine. Despite this, student life is active and diverse, with committees, student-run publications, and legal aid activities. Over the years, SLCU has built a reputation as one of India’s top private law schools, consistently appearing in national rankings like NIRF.

In short, SLCU offers rigorous academic training, practical exposure, and a vibrant campus life for students who are serious about a career in law.
